Rear Side Kitchen Extension And Full Refurbishment At Green Lane, Eltham, SE9

This late Victorian semi was extended and completely refurbished by its owners, and Acorn is proud to have been their partners to help do it. 

The ground floor was extended to the side at the rear, but also re-planned, adding a shower room, utility room and the new kitchen into the space occupied by the former dining room. This freed up a lot of space for the new dining and family space, made light & bright by a fully glazed side roof and by two sets of bi-fold doors facing the garden. Wet underfloor heating was provided to the extended kitchen/diner / family room.

The front room was re-established as a separate feature room with re-finished original wood flooring and a relocated wood burning stove. The hall was also fully refurbished, including a new Victorian tiled floor.

Upstairs, the original rear outrigger extension was replanned to convert three original rooms into two larger ones – a lovely new bathroom enjoying two windows and an enlarged guest bedroom. The master bedroom was significantly altered, with the addition of an ensuite shower room its own new window and with the re-finishing of the original floor. And of course, full redecoration, as throughout the rest of the house.

Outside, we laid a new porcelain tiled patio and removed old render from the side and rear walls and re-pointed them
