We constructed a full width kitchen extension with a sloping roof in character with the original Corbett house. The new kitchen and utility room were furnished with Howdens kitchen units with quartz worktops and integrated appliances. We created a new ground floor WC and linked the existing dining room into the new extension by opening up the original back wall of the house. As part of the restoration of the house to its original glory, we removed old render from the rear elevation and cleaned & re-pointed the original yellow London stock bricks. We built a large new composite decking terrace outside the new bi-fold doors and erected new fencing to the garden. This project involved intricate liaison with both neighbours, including a GP surgery, who had particular concerns about how the works were carried out. The family, including a new baby, lived in the house through the works, so we built them a temporary kitchen upstairs.
